How to run a quiz on TikTok Live.

Turn your TikTok Live into an interactive gameshow — your viewers play along by typing answers straight into the chat, and the leaderboard updates live on your broadcast. Here's exactly how, in about 15 minutes from sign-up to your first live quiz.

Before you start

What do you need to run a quiz on TikTok Live?

  • A QuizGames Live account — every new account gets a 7-day free trial.
  • A TikTok account set up for Live.
  • A computer with a modern browser. To pull TikTok chat in, you’ll use our small Connector app (Windows-only today; a browser bridge for Mac is on the way — see the setup page).
Step by step

How do you run a quiz on TikTok Live, step by step?

1. Create your account

Sign up at quizgameslive.com and start your free 7-day trial. You get full access to build, test and run a live quiz; a card is needed to start, but nothing is charged until the trial ends.

2. Build your quiz

In the app, add your questions and the answers you’ll accept. Fuzzy matching means minor typos and common variations still count — and you can tighten or loosen the matching on any question.

3. Install the Connector (Windows)

Install the QuizGames Live Connector and sign in — the download link appears in your dashboard after sign-up. This is what brings your TikTok Live chat into the quiz.

4. Add the overlay and connect TikTok

Add the QuizGames Live broadcast overlay as a browser source in your streaming software (OBS, Streamlabs, etc.), then connect your TikTok account inside the app.

5. Go live and let chat play

Start your TikTok Live and launch the quiz. Viewers just type their answers into the chat they’re already in — no app to install, no sign-up, no second screen.

6. Watch it score in real time

The leaderboard, ticker and podium update live on your broadcast as answers come in. When you’re done, review the results and replays.

Make it great

How do you make a live quiz great?

  • Keep questions short and punchy so chat can answer fast.
  • Lean on the on-screen ticker and leaderboard to build the competition.
  • Loosen answer matching for tricky spellings; tighten it for one-word answers.
  • Run quizzes on a regular schedule so your audience knows when to show up.
